Woodstock - Pomfret Report
Was up in this area on Monday. Overall, pretty blah with a lot of leaf drop but some of the hilltops off of Cloudland Rd were a beautiful shade of red-orange. Everywhere else I went was yellow or going bare. It was the best color I saw all weekend.

Re: Arlington/Bennington area?
The Battenkill usually has good mist or fog most cool mornings this time of year. You can get some good shots off of River Road in Arlington, and also Rt. 313. There's a nice stand of maples on River Road too, but I didn't head that way this year. Enjoy the drive.

Re: from worcester, ma one day
Here's an alternate route. Try going up 190 from Worcester to Rt 2 West and then over to 91 and then pick up Rt. 30 in Brattleboro to go up through the West River Valley to the Manchester area. Danby, Pawlet, Manchester and Arlington are all good foliage areas. This route would work best if you go t...

Re: Northeast Kingdom
Was up in the Kingdom this weekend. Color isn't quite peak yet. For instance, a lot of the maple trees on Darling Hill Road in Burke are still pretty green. The trees around Lake Willoughby are mainly light yellow. There is some good color around but it's spotty. I think we need some good frosts to ...

Re: Argh, I don't know where to go....
The higher elevations south of Rt. 9 are starting to turn. For instance, around Sadawaga Pond. I was there on Friday and there's some pretty farms around Old Town Rd. You might want to check out that covered bridge over the Green River later in the week too. Wish I could be more helpful, but this ha...

How about the hills of Corinth?
I'm going up to Manchester on Friday for a few days and was wondering how things looked around Corinth. Is it worth the drive up to that area? It's one of my favorite parts of Vermont but I'm worried about the affect of the strong winds. Would a day trip to the NE Kingdom make more sense?
