Everyone: the exact area that was "on fire" today was in the Marshfield area on route 2 for the western facing slopes! I stopped too many times in awe and was a tad late for meeting Tim our board owner in Lyndonville.
The peak was from about Marshfield to the 215 road to East Calais (I think that's the route number). The rest of the way to Danville was not yet peak but in a couple of days, I feel that the whole route 2 corridor from Plainfield to past Danville will be in peak. Stop at the White Flower Farm in Marshfield and take a picture of the insane color behind the store. Perfect!
