Big business invades the Vermont Maple Syrup industry

Just like anything esle these days, change is almost always inevitable. Now it is the turn of the maple syrup industry. For years "sugarin'" in Vermont meant a wooden, somewhat weather-beaten shack in the woods, with buckets attached to mature maples and horse drawn sleighs collecting the sap. Now it is changing. "Suits in boardrooms" thousand of miles away from the maple sugar bush are starting to control everything. It is not all like this yet, but it is an increasing phenomena.
